Shiatsu (acupressure) is a form of massage using the pressure of fingertips, hands and elbows to stimulate the movement of chi through the meridians and pressure points. Shiatsu works around the Chinese Medicine’s five element technique (a table detailing which can be seen below). Shiatsu helps to balance these elements, which are all present within us, and connect us to nature. The elements change throughout the day, which means that the movement of chi within the body moves from organ to organ as the day grows longer. These changes
mirror the changing of the seasons in nature.
